Isaac H. Scott was born in Quebec; came to the United States at age 14. Served during the Civil War and was the last surviving member of the crew of the Monitor. Member of the firm of Duncan and Wilson, Pittsburgh. They were engaged extensively in trade and their operations extended to Detroit, Vincennes and other places. In 1787 Duncan was engaged in supplying all the U.S. posts. His will, drawn Dec. 20, 1791, in Pittsburgh, mentions his Widow, Margaret, two sons, Samuel and David, and three daughters.
